President of the State Commission
A person who is or has been a Judge of a High Court, appointed by the State Government shall be its President on whole time basis for a period of five years from the date of joining or till he attains the age of 67 years, whichever is earlier in terms of Section 16 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986. He has been treated equal to a sitting Judge of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana and is entitled to pay equal to the last pay drawn minus pension per mensum. In addition he will be entitled to all the benefits admissible to a sitting Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court e.g. Travelling Allowance at such rate as is admissible to a sitting Judge of Punjab & Haryana High Court, A.C. staff car with cost of 200 liters of petrol/diesel every month, rent free furnished residence as admissible to a sitting Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court, A.C. camp office fully furnished with library at residence with power back up along with one camp office peon, in addition, he will also be entitled to two peons and one chowkidar at home, he will also be entitled to LTC by air in the executive class any where in India with family including dependent family members, this would also include traveling by cruise and by road, twice a year and in case the LTC is unavailed by the President of the State Commission, the same shall be carried forward as unavailed LTC to the next year, despite this telephone facilities at the residence as well as in the office with a limit of free local calls upto Rs.10,000/- bio-monthly, a mobile telephone with free calls of Rs.2500/- per month, free water upto 3600 kilo liter of water per annum, free electricity upto 10000 units of power per annum, medical reimbursement for indoor and outdoor treatment himself along with family and dependent family members, he is also entitled to change his staff car after 80,000 kilometers of running or running of five years whichever is earlier.
Presidents of the District Fora
A person who is, or has been, or is qualified to be a District Judge, shall be its President. They have been treated equal to a sitting District & Sessions Judge in the State of Haryana and are being paid salary in the pay scale of Rs.57700-1230-58930-1380-67210-1540-70290 equivalent to a sitting District & Sessions Judge and entitled to rent free accommodation, facility of telephone in the office along with STD facility, they are also entitled to Rs.1000/- per month as conveyance allowance, medical allowance, TA/DA equivalent to a Class-I, Officer.
Members of the State Commission
The State Commission shall consist of four whole time members out of which two Members are having judicial background, one of whom shall be a woman who shall have not less than thirty five years of age, possess a bechelor’s decree from a recognized University, have adequate knowledge and experience of at lest ten years in dealing with problems relating to economics, law, commerce, accountancy, industry, public affairs or administration. They are getting honorarium @ Rs.40,000/- per month. They are also entitled for grant of government accommodation if available or HRA as per State Govt. Rules, conveyance allowance of Rs.1000/- per month, one time lump sum amount of Rs.1000/- per month for using mobile phone or land line phone facility, Medical Allowance of Rs.500/- per month and also entitled to TA/DA as admissible to a Grade-I Officer of the State Government. They are also entitled to 10 days casual leave in a calendar year.
Members of the District Fora in the State of Haryana
The District Fora in the State of Haryana shall consist of two whole time members one of whom shall be a woman who shall have not less than thirty five years of age, possess a bechelor’s decree from a recognized University, have adequate knowledge and experience of at lest ten years in dealing with problems relating to economics, law, commerce, accountancy, industry, public affairs or administration. They are getting honorarium @ Rs.20,000/- per month. They are also entitled to TA/DA as admissible to a Grade-II Officer of the State Government.
